maybe this has been discussed, but lately i have been thinking
about this. During my design for a suite i made loads of stuff
i never am going to use. i made cd's, glyphs, muscial notes, buttons etc
ok the cd i'm going to use over and over again
then i tought it would be nice to have a gallery for it just for those.
No finished skins or icons in that gallery just parts. i can imagine that for a newbie
it is very nice not to have to create everything form scratch or for the veteran
skinner as well, it can boost your productivity. everything in this gallery should be
without copyright of course.

somewhere down the page you can find a colorswatch if i'm right
these should be the 16 colors used for the bootskin. with these
you can replace the colors in you skin who realy show up uggly.

more interesting stuff on that page for logons etc

I only recently switched over to XP and finaly bougt a second drive with 160 gig.
my old harddrive is 20 gig (this was a dreammachine 4 years ago!) it's partitinoned
like this C:\= 10 gig D:\=5 gig E:\=5 gig
but i'm runing out of room on the C:\ drive, partitionmagic is 89 dollars so that's not
an option now i read somewhere that somebody install all his programs on his next drive
and leaves the C:\ drive for windows. is this an option, i seem to remmeber it wasn't a good
idear under windows 98SE but it might have changed for XP

Answers very much apreciated, it would save me a format C:

could somebody please give a rundown on how this works?
i upgraded skinstudio prof as well and i saw some new features
for the taskbar

start pannel effects.

disabled
per pixel alpha
inverted
glass
etc

i think that has to do with the transparenty, but what can i do with it?

As a small one man company i'm always on the lookout for new income perspectives.
i thought a lot about how i would be able to sell skins to company's and i came to
the conclusion that this is hard to do, every pc in the company needs wb to run.
but what if Window blinds can make executables? what if i can make any program execute
with the desired skin on it's own without WB to run it? Now i could write to company's and tell them
hey wouldn't it be nice if the program (acountants program?) has the look and feel of your company?
the skin should not be changeble and should aply to one program only. i could make cheap templates
you sell to small company's and i could make special onetime only designs for the richer company's.
I could make money!

Verry bissy with my iconpack now and since it is my first i stumbled upon
a problem what realy kept me bissy for a while.

How do you create an iconpack?

i tought just load the windows default package
go to > view > packagebuilder.. put in some icons
save as a packgage and from then on you would be able to put new
icons in the package. but when i wanted to do that i noticed that
loads of icons where missing?? it took me a while but then i found it
if you want to work on your iconpack a second time you have to go to
View > packagebuilder and then to File > your-package-name
then you get all the icons back that you can replace.

maybe i was just beeing stupid but this article might help somebody not
to have to spend the same time as me trying to find out.
